Road directions
From Margate, take the A28 towards Canterbury. This road leads you directly into the village. When you are in the village, the need to follow the conveniently named 'Station road'. At the end of this stretch of road, you will see signs for the station. Be aware of the small one-way section of road that is in operation here.
Parking
There is usually ample parking by the station building itself.
Public transport
There are frequent buses, including weekends from Margate Station. Look for bus routes 8 and 9.
Amenities
There are no longer amenities at the station, but just a short walk into the centre of the village provides much to choose from. 'Seabell' Fish and Chips are as the name implies, and 'Tandoori Nite' on station Road has to be visited if you like your curries. One of the best in the country.
There is also a large Co-op store, numerous other shops, tea rooms, and several pubs.
Accommodation
The Kings Head and Sea view Hotel offer accommodation.

Photographic notes
Photographs can be taken from both platforms, and from both directions. Remains of the old station sidings can be seen at the far eastern end of the main platform. Photographs can also be taken from the stations footbridge. There is also another footbridge, just to the west of the station, next to the road bridge. Shots to the west can be taken here, but can often be difficult due to the lighting and tall trees. The road bridge is to see some modification work soon, and at present, it is unclear as to whether this will affect the footbridge or not.
