The location is at the end of a small access road on which you can park. But be careful not to block access. Failing that there are residential streets a very short walk away.
There is only a shot of northbound trains from the elevated position, although one could cross the road bridge for a southbound working.
The location is a milel or so south of the
Railcam York Supporters 24/7 live webcam, which would give a short bit of notice of approaching trains from the north.
