From the Forth Road Bridge
Take the first exit after crossing into Fife, sign posted North Queensferry and Rosyth, take the third exit at the roundabout then the third exit at the second roundabout that you will immediately encounter leading towards Inverkeithing passing underneath the Jamestown Viaduct. Take the first turning on the right, Ferryhill Road, this road goes under the Rosyth Dockyard branch, and bear right past a large furniture showroom/outlet on your left hand side and a car dismantlers on your right. Ferryhill Road climbs steeply and just after a right curve you should see a gate on your right hand side. Park your car here and go through the gate into the field, climb the hill and walk towards the railway to obtain the best vantage point.

There is a frequent bus service from Inverkeithing to the junction with Ferryhill Road.

No amenities near by, but Inverkeithing boasts pubs, shops and take away facilities.

Best for southbound shots in the morning while the sun is still in the east. With the constant flow of units, plus the Voyagers and HST’s northbound ‘going away’ shots are obtainable, but somewhat restricted for northbound MGR’s.
