Road directions
From A66 new light controlled Junction.
Turn off onto Old Station Road and then Tilbury road and then turn onto a dead end part of Normanby Road to the Railway station.
Parking
You can park by the station, there being little other reason for anyone else to park there, excepting the scrap yard adjacent. During the day it should be perfectly safe to leave your car here.
Public transport
It is not practical to use the train to reach South Bank due to the lack of trains stopping there.64,A,B Arriva service, use stop on Middlesbrough road or the station Road stop, which is the first one on Middlesbrough road from Middlesbrough.
Amenities
There is a cafe near Asda early closing time, Asda supermarket, petrol station on Tilbury Road.
Mobile cafe on Normanby road , Tilbury Road Junction.
New Fish and Chip shop, opposite the Square on Normanby Road in South Bank.

The light here is generally best in the morning for trains heading away from Middlesborough and in the afternoon for those the other way. The line splits just west of the station into up/down main and up/down goods. Some freight trains run round east of the station, and of note is the furness on the north side of the line to the east which occasionally produces extreme amounts of smoke.
