Road directions
As with all inner London stations it is much easier, and cheaper, to park out of London and get public transport in.

From the end of the A1 in Upper Holloway:
Follow the A400 towards Camden and continue down the road and just before Tufnell Park station turn right into Cathcart Road. Continue along Cathcart to the end and dog leg left into Chewwynd Road. At the end enter Gordon Ho road and the station is on your right.
Parking
There is no car park for the station and the only place I know of where you can park is down a residential road. I suggest public transport as an easier way of getting to the station.
Public transport
Silverlink trains operate services to Willesden Junction, Clapham Junction and Kensington to the station.
Amenities
There are no toilets on the station, I do not know where there are any. There are a few shops outside the station, including a Costcutter further down the road (turn left outside the station a walk under a bridge (Warning: This bridge leaks water when it has rained!) and continue until you get to a junction then turn right).
Accommodation
None in the immediate area.

Photographic notes
The east end of Platform 3, I think is the best. You can see the curve leading off down the Gospel Oak to Barking. Most freight comes round this curve and there is plenty of time to get your camera out as most freight trains have to stop parallel to the station because of the red signal on the approach to the junction. This give you an opportunity to, say record the train coming to a stop, take a photo, then record the train reving up again after the signal has changed green. Plus there is also a shelter on the platform where you can sit down, out of the rain if you wish. But do watch out some freight trains come though platforms 1 and 2 as well!
