The station is located on Euston Road, just a little way west of Kings Cross and St Pancras. Euston Road is also on the very edge of the congestion charge, one wrong turn will cost you a few pounds!

There is no decent sized car parks nearby and any that are will be very expensive. There are also lots of parking meters and traffic wardens in the area if you plan on making a very short visit by car. It is recommended that you use public transport.

The station concourse houses a good variety of restaurants, fast food places etc. There are also some shops, like body shop, and there is even a barbers!
PAY Toilets are located just near the gate for platforms 3-6.

There are some good hotels around this area, including Hilton, Premier Travel Inn, Thistle and Novotel.

South East Gen

As with all the London Terminus Stations it is best to report in to security if you plan to spend any length of time on the platforms

Euston's platforms are mainly undercover, and I found that even with a flash, the station is hard to photograph after dark. There are a number of barriers and flower pots on which you can rest a camera for a longer exposure. The northern ends of the platforms will offer natural lighting for your images but you will be in for a long walk if you need to change platforms, most are a good 12 coach lengths long. Platforms 3 and 4 or 15 and 16 offer the longest runs and from there you can get shots of most departures from the station.
The platforms 17 and 18 are not normally used and this is often where special trains can be found - i.e. namings and other VIP services.
