Road directions
From the A1, northbound:
Pass the NVR and continue on for a mile or so. You will go into a dip and start to climb out again. There will be a bridge at the top of the hill with a junction just under it. Take this left turn and join the A47 in the Peterborough direction.

From the A1, Southbound:
After passing through the village of Whittering, with the RAF base on you right take the next junction, about 2 miles south, to join the A47 in the Peterborough direction.

Follow the A47 until you reach a roundabout about 2 miles from the motorway exit and take the third exit into Castor. Follow the road through the village and once you have almost left the village there is a turning on the right. It is a small junction with a patch of grass in the middle. This is Mill Road and if you drive down here you will reach the Mill Road Bridge.

From here, just walk to the south west parapet where you find a Bridleway / Cycle path which leads under Mill Lane Bridge. Instead of following the path under the bridge, you find the Bridleway on your left, Walk down the Bridleway which rans adjacent to the Nene Valley Railway. At the end which is only a 4 minute walk, go through the 'kiss gate' and immediate to your left there is a style which leads you into the field that overlooks the Bridge over the stream.
Parking
Best place to park would be a Mill Lane Bridge.
Public transport
This location is not accessible by public transport.
Amenities
No toilets in the immediate area. There is a couple of pubs in Castor itself which services food and the Cafe at Wansford Station is available most running days. Well recommended and reasonable in price, and it supports the railway..
Accommodation
There are lots of Bed and Breakfast in Peterborough.
Railway Gen Group
Anglia Gen
Photographic notes
Best for trains coming from the Wansford Direction in the morning. The train will however be naturally cut off by trees. Its an alternative to Mill Lane Bridge with just a short walk.
There is no shot facing east as the line is in a tree lined cutting at this point.
