From the A1(M) Junction 17:
Head into Peterborough along Fletton Parkway and after about 2 miles exit left and get onto Nene Parkway. At the next junction exit and go under the road and join Morley Way heading east. At the roundabout take the second exit onto Shrewsbury Avenue, heading north. Follow this road north, it will change into Botolph Green and you will enter a new housing estate. You will see a large green on the left and a large public foot path on the right.

Then walk down the footpath to the location. This footpath also leads along the line to Peterborough NVR station.

You can park your car in the housing areas or opposite Peterborough NVR Station.

There are no facilities at the location, but as you will probably be visiting Wansford there is a station cafe there. There are also a couple of petrol stations within about 10 minutes walk on the main road.

There are lots of Bed and Breakfast in Peterborough.

The line is running roughly north east to south west at this point so a sun on the nose shot will be on during most of the day in one direction or another. With the recent crossing development the westbound (looking east shot) has changed dramatically and will now not be possible without trespass onto the line, and even then will feature a large metal fence obscuring the train. Eastbound workings will now be taken from a few feet back. It should also be possible to get access to the original path location for wider side on shots.
