Take the A509 from Wellingborough towards Kettering. Turn right just before the speed camera into "The Slips". Follow winding road to the railway - about a mile.
There are a number of lay bys and grass verges around the bridge where you can park your car.
Due to country nature of this location there is no practical public transport to this location. Wellingborough Station is about 3 miles away.
The nearest amenities would be back in Wellingborough.
This is a southbound shot throughout the day but only a northbound shot from mid afternoon onwards. Given the open nature of the location, aside from the bridge, there is nothing to cast shadows over your subject matter.
Line speed is 100 on main with 50 on avoider, but slower if taking the junction. You can see for a mile or two to the north so there is plently of notice of approaching workings. The view to the south is not as far as line disappears under bridge round curve. But you will still get ample notice.
