Location notes
About 1¼ miles east of Kirkby station on the line from Wigan Wallgate.
Railway type and traffic
During the week an Hourly DMU runs during the daytime. Mostly Class 142 but with occasional 150/156.
Daily return freight service, Immingham - Knowsley & return.

The line from Potter's freight terminal emerges on south side of line, about 150 yards from bridge - trains reverse here.

Busy town location, best to keep valuables out of sight and your car where you can see it, especially during school holidays. There is housing at north side of line.
Road directions
From the A580 coming from Liverpool:
Pass under the M57 bridge then turn left at the second set of traffic lights. At the first roundabout, take the second exit into Perimeter Road. Continue along this winding road for about 2 miles until it becomes Dale Lane and crosses the railway line.
