From Canterbury, head towards Margate on the A28. This will lead straight to Upstreet. As you arrive at the village, look for a right hand turn to Port Farm. There is a track immediately after this which you will be able to drive down to a car park.
There is a good place to park at the bottom of the lane. Many vehicles can be parked here safely.
Nothing at the location itself, but the village has its own store where snacks and freshly made sandwiches can be purchased. There is the Royal Oak in Upstreet itself, and there is also a pub at nearby Grove Ferry.
This is a good location to capture eastbound workings in the morning. Shots in the other direction are limited, although they can be had from the 'wrong' side of the line if overcast.
