Road directions
From Canterbury, head towards Margate on the A428. Along this route, you will come to the village of Sturry. From here, take the A291 north which leads to Herne Bay. When you reach the A299 junction, head onto the A2990, there should be a golf course on the left, followed by some new houses. At the next roundabout, turn right. This road will cross the railway. Take the right into the B2205. Go straight over the next small roundabout, and make the next right into Fleetwood Avenue. Follow this until you can see the station.
Parking
The station has it`s own car-park. There are also many roads leading away from the station where you can park a little further away, and make a short walk to the station without having to pay!
Amenities
Snack food is available at the station, but more can be found on the sea front itself.
The line runs pretty much East-West here, and as such, shots can be had all day to suit differing sun positions. Both current platforms can be used, and in both directions. There is a nice gentle curve to the station platforms. There is another platform here that is currently out of use.
