Best from A58 on the section between the A580 and the M6 (Junction 24, southbound access only).
At the first set of traffic lights to the west of the M6 junction, turn north into Tithebarn Road. At the second road junction, branch left, then almost immediately turn right into Arch Lane. Continue until the railway bridge.
There is space for 3-4 cars at Arch Lane bridge. Avoid parking too close to the bend in the road.
Caution - some local kids sometimes congregate in this area in school holidays or the evenings.
By rail to Garswood station. Turn left at the exit, turn left into School Lane, and at the end, turn left into Garswood Road. Cross the railway bridge, fork right at the next junction, and almost immediately turn right into Arch Lane.
Sun is best for eastbound trains until late morning, and for westbound trains on summer evenings. Photographers of below average height may need to bring something to stand on. Photos of eastbound trains are also possible from Garswood Road bridge, but when last inspected, photos of westbound trains were limited by vegetation, and car parking here is difficult.
