Road directions
From Banbury travel north on the A423 and take the second turning sigh posted for Claydon – this starts off a single-track road but soon widens. If you happen to take the first turning for Claydon, follow the road into the village and follow the signs back out to Fenny Compton. Once you have parked your car, see below, follow the path under a disused viaduct and continue until you see the crossing.
Parking
Assuming you have taken the second turning, at the start of the footpath, on the left is a parking area for two cars. Your car will not be visible once you are at the location.
Public transport
The nearest train station is Banbury. And from Fenny Crompton it would be around a 30 minute walk.
Amenities
There are no amenities but there are several pubs in both Claydon and Fenny Compton.
Any photographs here will be tight onto the trains in question, and low down. It is possible to photograph from both sides of the line, and in both directions, but as the line is north-south-ish here, you need to be aware of the light. Like a lot of locations along the M40 corridor, the noise from the M40 is quite a loud rumble, which may affect videographers.
