From nearby Long Buckby, turn into King Street and continue on the B5385 heading for Watford village. Just before you get to the village, you will notice a public footpath sign on the right, and slightly further ahead you will notice a space on the left hand side where a few cars can be safely parked. Park here, making sure that you do not block the gates). Walk back to the public footpath, and follow this to the location.
An area on the side of the road, with ample parking for at least 4 cars.
Stagecoach service 96 operates hourly between Rugby and Northampton to
Watford village and runs along the B5385 between Watford and Long Buckby.
There is a restaurant in the village itself, but you will be better catered for in nearby Long Buckby which offers many shops and pubs.
Photos can be taken in both directions and from both sides of the line to suit lighting conditions.
There is also a good Southbound shout which can be had from within the trees just before the public footpath leads down to the line. This will be apparent once at the location.
