From the nearest town of Rugby (not Daventry) head out Eastwards via Hillmorton on the A428. You will pass under the railway bridges as you leave Rugby. Keep going straight over the roundabouts, and this will take you straight past the DIRFT site. Pass under the motorway, continue past the industrial units until you enter the village. Once you pass Bucknills lane on the left, you need to look for a lane on the right which will lead you to the location. At the end of the lane, you can pick up the footpath which passes under the motorway, and then the railway lines and then brings you out into the field.

There is also a footpath at the end of 'The Derry' This will also lead you to the location, but this takes you across some fields, and as such is not the easiest route.

The lane leading down to the location is far from suitable for most road vehicles, so it may be best to park in the main road, and walk the full distance. There is a very high risk of damage to your motor, or even being grounded as the road surface is VERY uneven, and is prone to being very water logged. Wellies may also be a good idea if there has been recent wet weather!

Midlands Gen

This location is best for southbound shots from late morning through to the afternoon, with northbound workings being taken late afternoon through the evening.
Shots can also be has from a distance within the field, and also from the lineside fence.

Due to the very close proximity of the M1 motorway, this spot is far from ideal for those who wish to take video.
