Road directions
Access is by the B6062 from Whaley Bridge (on the A6), which connects to the A624 from Glossop, about midway between Chinley and Chapel-en-le-Frith. The B6062 is a 'straight on' turn off the A624 just after you go under two railway bridges. This will lead you to Station Road. Station Road takes the form of a loop on the north side of the B6062, in the village centre. Then follow the public transport directions.
Parking
Roadside parking would be difficult near the location, so it is best to park at the station and walk.
Public transport
By rail to the station by local services from Manchester Piccadilly or Sheffield.
Walk down Station Road to the B6062 (Lower Lane) and turn right. After about 10 minutes walk along Lower Lane, after the road does an 'S' bend there is a single house on the right, just after this house is the foot path that leads onto the bridge.
Amenities
There are a few shops in the village of Chinley to the east.

Photographic notes
Location is best for photos of southbound trains, but alright for northbound trains in summer after about 3:00 pm.
Not checked personally, but light might be OK for northbound trains very early in the morning during summer.
