Road directions
Access is by the B6062 from Whaley Bridge (on the A6), which connects to the A624 from Glossop, about midway between Chinley and Chapel-en-le-Frith. The B6062 is a 'straight on' turn off the A624 just after you go under two railway bridges. This will lead you to Station Road. Station Road takes the form of a loop on the north side of the B6062, in the village centre.
Parking
Roadside parking would be difficult near the location, so it is best to park at the station and walk.
Public transport
By rail to the station by local services from Manchester Piccadilly or Sheffield.
Access is by a footpath across a field from the B6062 Buxton Road, about a 15 minute walk from the station.
Amenities
There are a few shops in the village of Chinley to the west.
Railway Gen Group
North West Gen
Photographic notes
Location is best for photos of southbound trains. As, for much of the day, the northbound track is heavily shaded by the embankment or vegetation.
