On the Midland main line, 35 miles south of Leicester.
Railway type and traffic
There are 4 EMT services an hour though so plenty of opportunities for HST and 'Meridian' shots.. From around 12:00hrs on a good day there can be a procession of north-bound empty freights, mainly aggregate trains, as well as a couple of cement trains. There is little if any south-bound afternoon freight traffic.

Photographic notes
This is the best location for north-bound afternoon shots in the area. You will have to climb over a short crash barrier at the side of the road to get to the shot position, once there there would be room to set up a video tripod if required. But noise from the road would interfere with audio recordings.
A southbound shot is possible from the other side of the road, but you will be standing with your back to the road on a very tight corner, so it would be better to shoot somewhere else if you are after a southbound working.
